SecurePress WordPress Plugin

SecurePress Pro

SecurePress Pro is a WordPress security plugin that ties into the backend services of SecureLive to protect our WordPress blog from hackers and intruders.  Here is how it works.

Hackers will send web queries to WordPress in an attempt get WordPress to do something unexpected.  For example, simply causing WordPress to error might reveal valuable information as to the type of webserver you are running your WordPress installation on.  Now they have valuable information they can use to begin to exploit known vulnerabilities.

SecurePress Pro identifies these types of attacks and blocks them immediately.  It then shares the IP address of the attacker with other SecurePress Pro users so that the hacker will be blocked from their blog as well.  All of this is logged so that you can see the type of hacks and where they are coming from.  SecurePress will also allow you to block visitors from certain countries, prevent unknown robots, and much more.

Once you begin to run SecurePress Pro on your blog, you will begin to realize that hackers are constantly up to no good on your blog.  Shut them down because once they get in it can be very costly and time consuming to remove them.

At How-To-Blog.TV we mandate that all of our blogs and all of the blogs of our customers run SecurePress Pro.

2 things… This is a very well-designed blog. I LOVE the header. Working on my Thesis WP site as well. Second, when I clicked on the affiliate link for SecurePress Pro, I got an error. text of the error is
” We Could Not Connect To Your Database: secureli_affiliateidev”
“Check Your Database Settings In API/database.php”
You should check that.

Okay, a third thing… really like the animated TV guy… cool!
